I feel really /good/ for subverting my nieces today. :) Eldest used to like "playing" karate and cheerleader, but after an hour with Aunt Saffron, doing some simple stretches and watching some videos...she's caught the ballet bug. (And god damn, if they don't let her Imma raise hell, she's not exactly graceful yet, but she's as limber as any pro and catches on damn fast.)

Horses and ballet...my work here is done.

(I have the feeling Youngest has some songbird in her, just from her voice and behavior. I'mma see what I can do there, too. Alas, I may have to wash my hands entirely of the middle kid [mostly cause I can't stand to be around her after this summer-she's not a childish brat, she's a full-blown little bitch in training-and] cause she's still attached to the umbilical cord.)

Does she have middle child syndrome to boot?

Yes, in an extreme and violent way.

The biggest problem is the kids don't really get attention, so they really /do/ have to fight for it, and her's is just that much worse. But she's also quite nasty, too, likes to beat up on her sisters to hear em cry, and steal their toys and all that, incredibly lazy and refuses to do anything for herself, and never stops eating.

How old is she? She beats up her older sis? I think you should teach older sis how to show middle sis who is in charge. :P LOL j/k

The being lazy and never stop eating is not a good combination.

Four. Eldest gets in trouble for trying to defend herself, as well as anytime Middle feels like throwing a hissy fit. She makes up all kinds of stories about how Eldest "hurt her" that Mommy and Daddy believe every time. We've caught her at it several times, and makes no excuses or apologies for her lying at all (in fact, she'll usually start bawling so M&D will pet and coo at her and give her more candy). I don't like Middle Niece at all. :(

Yes, she is already a little chub-o, with no signs of improvement, as child rearing for SiL tends to involve lots of TV and junk food to keep them quiet.
