Stealing a question from TQC, cause I don't feel like posting there. ;P

"Is there anyone you know who says your name in a manner that you like? Or to put it slightly differently, you just like the way they say your name?

Is there anyone who says it in a way you don't like?"

Mostly it's a toss-up between RAY-chel (how I say it), and RAY-chol (which I really hate) but I've got a few RACH-ol's too. One friend and my Uncle both insist on calling me RA-shell, which I love to pieces cause it gives me warm fuzzies. Youngest Niece calls me Aunt Ra or Aunt Ra'l. Cute, but weeeeeird-the few times she does call me Rachael, she says it no problem (even better than the four and five year olds who say it like RAY-thole), she's just too lazy to say the whole damn word.

Seems I must go hide from a tornado. Again. When do I get to leave this place, again?

Oh phoo, try having a name like 'Soni' and seeing if anyone on God's earth *ever* says it right. ;)
('sunny')

Aw, but I like Soni! Unique names that don't involve bastardization of normal names or apostrphies are fun!

I would have guessed is was more like sonny, but the both sound the same. ;P As long as you can't read my mind, there's no harm done.
