Current mood: annoyed

Was going to mention this in my other post, but completely forgot. Oops. Anyhow, different subject all together, so it's OK.

Got a letter in the mail today from work insisting I join their (very shoddy, bought off) union and pay some seven hundred dollars for initiation fees and dues, or be fired by the 17th. So. I don't think I'mma be working at Kroger for very much longer...of course, I have the option of not joining, but I still have to pay the money. Unfortunatly (or maybe not, who knows) this is the same "union" I had to deal with at Meijer (maybe, just maybe they'll waive the initiation fee, since I've already had to pay it twice already) and I know just how fucked up it is.

We shall see, hey?
(At least school shopping is almost done!)

This would be the local Food Workers Union (which I don't suggest joining at at-it's not Teamsters) the union for pretty much anyone who works in a grocery store in the midwest. As I said above, I don't have to /actually/ join the union, but I would still have to give them the money for various fees and dues and fill out their paperwork, they just won't give me the benefits to go along with them.

>:) Thankfully, I was already counting down the days til I get to leave-this is just a few weeks early. I'm not worried at all...just annoyed that others might be stuck in a similar situation someday.
