Current mood:

a wee bit sad

So, one of my best friends just told me she's finally found a job where she can use her degree. Awesomesauce, of course, but it means moving to the other side of Pennsylvania. :C I've been promised visitation rights, and a trip to NYC for girls night out (that's how far she's gonna be going-two hours from the city...!) but it's still got me a bit sad. We've been like each others mirror image (blonde and brunette, fire and water, science and art, sweet and saucy, quiet and loud-all the fun stuff) since we were five years old, and it's hard to think of growing up and not being like sisters anymore.

She asked me to paint her something to hang in her office, and it's driving me crazy. I want something /perfect/, you know, but everything that she's into is really hard for me to do. My options are a world/life tree, something ocean-y or something music-y, leaning heavily towards the tree. My muse long since threw up her hands and walked off in a huff.

Suggestions? Anyone? :3
