Back from school. :3

Just :3

Well, and lots of >:( and D: from my family, but I'm beginning to think that's to be expected. Maybe once I get out, I should only start admitting to being related to MIA Brother and Best Friend Who Should Have Been My Sister, and to hell with everyone else.

Also? I'm about to admit something really embarrassing in the hopes that my FList-foo will help me with it. XC See, as a child? My parents had little to no interest in teaching me anything...this is why I'm still clueless about certain right-of-passage type things. This includes a lot of things like simple cooking and (until recently) doing laundry (jumping rope, climbing trees, swimming...thank the gods I figured some of em out on my own!) and worst of all-riding a bike. ...Yeah, 24 and I don't know how to ride a bike. What the hell do I do about this?! I'd really like to have one for campus, now that I've seen the layout, but I'm sure they don't make training wheels in my size. ;)

I haven't ridden a bike in over 10 years and forgot how to. This summer I'm going to try to relearn :3 you're not alone in this.

I saw an adult education school offering beginners lessons, or if you have a friend who knows you could just have them show you the ropes and whatnot.

I didn't learn how to ride until I was a teenager, so you're not alone. If you've got a friend who wouldn't mind you borrowing theirs for an afternoon to learn, that would be a good way to do it. I learned to ride on a "beach bike" (no gears, coaster brakes, not a 10-speed) and it was pretty easy. Otherwise, you could alwys wait until you're at school, where I'm sure you'll meet someone with a bike who'd be game for teaching you how. College is for learnin', after all. ;)
